CEO thoughts this week
The Wares! Ransomware, Spyware, and Malware! Last week we saw another massive breach of this countries infrastructure using Ransomware. It seems that in the arms race between tools and hackers, that the hackers continue to win. This one cost Colonial Pipeline business $4.4M for the ransomware, and probably millions more in forensics, recovery, and IT costs. It is no longer a matter of if your company will get breached but when will it happen. We need to look past the tools arms race because it is no longer a problem for just IT to fix. We want to help your business survive or thrive in this hostile environment. Please reach out if you have any doubts about your cybersecurity posture.
Good-bye CCPA, Hello CPRA
Consumers in California have been protected by the California Consumer Protection Act (CCPA) since 2018, but now those protections have been expanded thanks to the passage of the California Privacy Rights Act (CRPA). What does this mean for you and your handling of consumer data? Well, in short, a lot.
