FBI Issues RagnarLocker Ransomware Compromise, Cyberattack Indicators

The FBI said it first became aware of RagnarLocker in April 2020. As of January 2022, the FBI has identified at least 52 entities across 10 critical infrastructure sectors affected by RagnarLocker ransomware, including entities in the critical manufacturing, energy, financial services, government and information technology sectors. Currently, roughly 48 IP addresses, bitcoin addresses and email addresses are associated with indicators of compromise (IOC) for the ransomware: 32 IP addresses, 3 bitcoin addresses and 13 email addresses. Vulnerabilities across industrial control systems (ICS) rose by 25 percent in the second half of 2021 and overall by 110 percent over the last four years, according to a new report.
