President's Message - September 3, 2021

This Labor Day, I will be making my famous ribs for family and friends. Like with any good recipe you start with what works for someone else and over time customize it to fit your tastes. Imagine having to start fresh with all of your favorite dishes! The good news is that if you make a mistake with your cooking you might get some stern looks from the family but generally, it’s still edible or you can always call for pizza. How do food and cybersecurity tie together? 

According to ZDNet our food and agriculture are being targeted by ransomware. Farming has made huge strides to be very high tech but most farmers don’t have cybersecurity as top-of-mind. If only there was a recipe to help businesses with their cybersecurity preparedness. Oh wait, there is, the NIST Cybersecurity Framework can be used for any sized business and can be customized to your risk tastes.
